Lesline Reid was born in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, in the strong farming community of Corby District. As a child Reid gleaned first-hand knowledge of honeybees from relatives and neighbors who kept them. Many times, she was rewarded for farm chores with a dripping honeycomb fresh from a beehive. Reid attended the Mayfield Primary School, and the St. Elizabeth Technical High School where she participated in the many aspects of the local 4H Club. She received her teacher certification from Bethlehem Teachers College where Reid majored in secondary school education and graduated with honors in the areas of English, Biology and Art and Crafts. Reid taught high school in Jamaica and after migrating to the United States she continued teaching in the Bronx, and Brooklyn New York. Reid currently resides in Lauderhill, Florida. She is the mother of two sons and grandmother to four. She attends the All Nations New Testament Church of God where she is part of a vibrant family of believers.
